ShylockBlogging Sold And A Few Words From The New Owner

Friday, April 11th, 2008

As you know, two weeks ago I launched my browser game, and the time I could invest in ShylockBlogging dropped considerably. So, as the title says, I had to pass the torch to someone else, and I sold the blog to the owners of WhyDoWork.comIt was an absolute pleasure writing here and growing the blog as much as I could, making new friends and contacts. If you want to get in touch with me from now on, you can do it at alex[at]imperialages.com.I leave you now with the new owner of ShylockBlogging.com, to tell you a few words about himself and his plans for this blog.

Hello World!

My name is Matt and I also author whydowork.com/blog. I’ve been working online for over seven years and have had some great experiences. Anytime a blog gets sold I’m usually pretty apprehensive on the results. Take a look for instance at the CashQuests.com sale. Traffic plummeted, and the majority of subscribers (including myself) dropped the feed from our readers. Are all sales a bad experience?

Turnover is a Good Thing

Think about the total number of blogs in the world; it’s in the hundreds of millions. Blogs are personal journals and an outlet for an author to share ideas, which is very often a personal experience. This is why it’s often difficult to adjust when they change hands. Can we expect all blog authors to hang on to their sites and publish for the rest of time? While I wish it were possible, it’s not.I’m not here to replace Alex; we’re different people and we have different writing styles, thoughts, and opinions. What I can promise is that I’ll share with you all that I know about making money online, continue to support the Shylock Adsense plugin, and have some fun in the process. If that sounds like something you’re interested in, stick around! :)Cheers,Matt
